Each month is also represented by two of the 5 elements. It is another factor that can influence your luck. Our birth chart, or “Ba Zi” (four pillars) chart, can indicate your favorable and unfavorable elements. When the element of the month matches your favorable element, you will enjoy extra luck during that time.
The element of the month
The five elements of the month are based on the “10 heavenly stems” and “12 earthly branches” combinations, or “Gan Zhi” of each month. For example, January 2026 is the “Ji Chou” month. Both “Ji” and “Chou” belong to Earth elements, so January shows a strong Earth element.

Be more careful about legal issues, accidents, or injury during these 3 months.
Each month has lucky or unlucky sectors determined by a combination of flying stars. The general rule is to spend more time in the lucky sectors or traveling toward the lucky directions.
