The 12 Chinese zodiac signs and their lucky house facing directions

The 12 Chinese zodiac signs and their lucky house facing directions

An easy way to find out your lucky and unlucky houses facing or sitting directions is by your Chinese zodiac signs. The birth year decides your animal sign, and also the relationships of the 12 animal signs can decide your lucky directions.

If you are not sure about your Chinese zodiac sign, you can search on the internet or on the traditional Chinese calendar. The start of the animal sign year is usually around February 4th or 5th, the “Li Chun”, or the start of spring on the traditional 24 solar terms. For example, if your birthday is in January, your animal sign is the previous year’s sign. The “Li Chun” (February 4th or 5th) marks the beginning of a new zodiac sign.

The 12 Chinese zodiac signs on the 24 mountain chart

In the traditional 24 mountains or 24 directions, each of the 8 directions is divided into 3 sections. Each animal sign has a related direction. The horse is in the South 2, rat in the North 2, Rooster is in the West 2, Rabbit in the East 2, and so on. See the chart below for the belonging directions of the 12 animal signs.

The relationship of the animal signs forms lucky and unlucky combinations. That is the basis of the lucky house facing and sitting directions for each animal sign.
