Creating your knitting chart with the Stitchfiddle software

Creating your knitting chart with the Stitchfiddle software

Creating your chart can be tedious with a pen and paper or even knitting graph paper that has the right propertion of the grid. I found the Stitchfiddle website’s free charting software makes everything so easy.

I only tried the color work knitting chart creation. They let you pick the number of the rows and stitches to start a new chart, and pick any color to “color” the chart according to your sketch or what is on your mind. If you make a mistake, you can easily redo it or fix it with a different color. There is also tools for drawing lines, charting symbols and translate into written pattern. Some features requires a fee, but the free one is still powerful for most hobby knitters.

The chart you created can be downloaded as a png file. The png file is a transparent background. It is easy to convert it into jpg or other format.
