Knitting a pair of the fingerless mitten is not hard if you know the basic. In this video, I use the worsted weight yarn and a 5 mm circular needle and knit from the finger down so it is easy to try on anytime for the best fit.

Pattern

Cast on 30 stitches with a stretchy cast on or long tail cast on. Knit 1 x 1 ribbing for 5-6 rows and change to plain knitting until the thumb increase.

Increase 10 stitches with the backward-loop or knitted cast on methods.

Continue plain knitting for 3 rows before start decreasing.

Decrease the middle of the 10 stitches by knit 2 together. Decrease every other row for 5 stitches, then decrease every row for the last 5 stitches.

Knit 3 rows until the wrist (adjust the rows according to your hand size)

Start 1 x 1 ribbing. Knit the ribbing for 10 - 12 rows or as long as you like.

Bind off loosely or use any stretchy bind off.

Thumb ribbing

Pick up 14 stitches on the thumb hole and decrease 2 stitches to close any gap/hole. Knit the 1 x 1 ribbing for about 5 rows and bind off (stretchy bind off).
