Directions of the (7) Gen and (8) Li houses
Based on the Ba Gua (Eight trigram) and the Flying Star feng Shui theory, the Gen house is sitting on the Northeast and facing Southwest, and the Li house is sitting on the South and facing North direction. This is the according to the map or compass and not in relation to the main door as some style of feng shui. See the chart below.

The Flying Star in the center of the house is the base energy of the house. Depending on the five -element of each star, each section or direction can interact with the ceneter star’s element and create different energy.
Based on the chart below, the best directions for a Gen house chart include Northeast and Northwest. The challenging dirction is Southwest.
Based on this house chart, the best directions for a Li house include the South and Northeast. The challenging direction is the North.
