Eight Mansions Feng Shui - Are you an East or West group person?

The east or west group is an important concept in the Eight Mansions Feng Shui. There are eight charts for the Eight Mansions Feng Shui according to your life Gua number (calculated by birthday) or house Gua number (by house sitting and facing direction), and half of them (4 charts) shares the similar lucky directions and similar inauspicious directions. So half of the people or house belong to the east group and the other half belong to the west group. 

It might sound over-simplified, and it is to some degree. But there are a lot of ways to exam Feng Shui. For example, is your Life Gua number compatible with your current house Gua number? This is just a tool or an energy map.

If your Life Gua number is 1, 3, 4, or 9, you belong to the East group and share the similar lucky and unlucky directions.

If your personal Life Gua number is 2, 6, 7 or 8, (5 for female becomes 8, and male becomes 2) you belong to the West group and share the similar lucky and unlucky directions.
