The water shape and the five element
How to identify the different types of water with its related 5 element theory. The best type is the Metal water with big gentle curve. For example, the water has the shape of a HuLu or the curve of the Yin/Yang symbol.
Flowing too rapidly, too noisy, with a sharp angle or right angle is not as natural or auspicious as Metal type of water.

The relationship between the water and the house
The angle and degree of the water from the front door of the house is important too. It requires some charting to figure out the ideal Water location. Depending on different schools of Feng Shui, the best location will vary according to the house facing direction, the owner’s birth chart, and sometimes the time period.
Water is wealth in many schools of Feng Shui
When water can flow in to the house, it is a symbol of money coming in. So if the front of the house is higher, it is more difficult to save money.
In the modern days, anything lower and flowing is water. For example, traffic in front of the house, or lower part of the landscape.
The real water (ocean, pool….) is always more powerful than the hidden water (traffic, road, or lower landscape). Natural water is better than the manmade. For example, a river or lake is more powerful than an aquarium. Finally, bigger water is always more powerful than a small body of water.
When the front of the house is a little lower than the road, it is a better Feng Shui. Qi can accumulate naturaly around the house.
